Introduction
Concor Mining Services invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of a Clerk Buying to join our project based at Mogalakwena Mine, located in Mokopane, Limpopo. Then successful incumbent will report to the Plant Agent. Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates. This position will be on a Limited Duration Contract (“LDC”) basis for the duration of the project.
Job description

Key Responsibilities
 
Successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
 
·        Process purchase order forms/parts advises and submit to the purchasing manager for approval before sending out to the vendor
·        Research suppliers for the purchasing department for a variety of goods and services and prepare reports summarizing findings
·        Verify invoices, shipments and other records when orders come in to ensure accuracy from the vendor
·        Evaluate current and new suppliers to determine optimal setup for supply contracts, taking into account costs, delivery times, product quality and available inventory
·        Analyse supply contracts, financial reports and other data using accepted optimization models to determine which vendors best meet company needs and project requirements
·        Maintain current knowledge of existing vendors, industry trends and relevant pricing by attending trade shows and conferences and reading professional publications
·        Create and maintain computerized database of supply purchase orders, paid invoices, goods delivered, product and raw material quality, current inventory and future order scheduling

Minimum requirements

Qualifications
 
  • ·        Grade 12

    ·        Qualification in Supply Management or equivalent will be advantageous

    ·        Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

 
Knowledge and Experience
 
  • ·        3 or more years of experience in a clerical setting or in purchasing

    ·        Polite phone presence and strong customer service skills

    ·        Positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team

    ·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data entry

    ·        Strong work ethic and a self-starter who anticipates and completes tasks without being asked

    ·        Must have solid organizational skills

    ·        Strong skills in mathematics, finance or accounting

    ·        Superior communication skills are essential for success
