Concor Mining Services is looking to secure experienced Earthmoving Mechanics to apply for a Permanent position for our site in Mogalakwena Mine. The successful incumbent will maintain Concor Mining Services's Earthmoving equipment at Mogalakwena Mine and related equipment according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications. Take ownership of the machines or vehicles to be maintained by them, advising management on the current condition of vehicles and advising on best solutions for maintenance. The position is site based and applicants will be required to travel and/or relocate. Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.

• To Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of vehicles and machinery according to the maintenance requirements and attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and over-inspection reports.
• Must perform equipment over-inspection on work done by apprentices and operators where appropriate and provide feedback and guidance as required.
• Provide relevant feedback to the Supervisor and co-workers regarding equipment performance and conditions and carry out scheduled and non-scheduled repairs as required.
• You will need to discuss work backlog and future work requirements with the Supervisor and plan corrective measures to rectify e.g. re-scheduling, prioritizing, labour assistance, etc. Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure.
• Must have experience in disassemble, refurbish, report, test, and assemble all components related to the SEU shop Engine section.
• Experience working with engines and gearboxes is non-negotiable.
• Must be able to follow assembly procedures relevant standards and policies, assist with the quoting process of the disassembled components, ensure that all the paperwork for components received are in order and rotate between other sections (Engine, Cylinder & Hydraulic Pump sections).
• Experience in assisting with the testing of the components, good housekeeping and being able to work according to best practice work instructions is essential
• Adhere to policies and procedures
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health & Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor on a shift basis.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience on earthmoving machines
• Must have worked on the following machinery: CAT, VOLVO, HITACHI, KOMATSU
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a vehicle maintenance workshop or support service infrastructure.
• Basic computer literacy
• Experience in Simret Testing will be advantageous
• Grade 12 and/or Full Technical N3 trade specific (4 subjects) certificate or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
• Recognised Earthmoving Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
