Concor supports the development, availability and retention of skilled human capital directly related to the Company’s requirement. Our Company provide financial assistance to enable students to qualify for a degree or national diploma at a recognised South African University or University of Technology so as to provide the Company with high calibre graduates to ensure that the medium and long term needs for suitably qualified staff are met.

The fields of study will be revised from time to time, but are currently as follows:

• Quantity Surveying
• Civil Engineering

Applicants must meet the prescribed eligibility requirements before being considered for selection for a bursary and must comply with the formal process for determining the eligibility, range and value of all bursaries.
In order to qualify for a Concor bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be younger than 30 years old.
• Must be a full-time student studying towards a relevant degree or national diploma at a recognised South African university / university of technology.
• Must have at least successfully completed previous years of study.
• Must next year be in their final year of study.
• Must have no other bursaries awarded by another institution/company.

The bursary will cover 100% of all tuition.

Bursary applications will be open from  1 October until 31 October  2023.

Please note:
Concor offers bursaries each year for those entering further/higher education institutions, pursuing careers that will benefit the construction industry. Bursaries are limited to studies within construction, engineering and the built environment.

We offer bursaries from 2nd year onwards and bursaries are allocated in accordance with the future skills needs of the company, as well as available budget. In excess of 90 bursars have completed their studies since 2011 and all bursary recipients were absorbed into Concor thereafter. Concor also provides practical on-site training for trainee engineers and quantity surveyors, thus exposing them to the demands and complexity of infrastructure development.
