  • Inspect joint preparation, fit-up, alignment, weld quality, dimensions, workmanship, weld repairs, and final welded assemblies.
  • Confirm welder qualifications, welding parameters, consumable control, preheat/interpass requirements, PWHT requirements, and related controls where applicable.
  • Coordinate and review NDT activities, weld maps, welding logs, repair records, NDT reports, NCRs, and welding quality records.

Fabrication Inspection

  • Conduct dimensional and fabrication inspections covering material preparation, cutting, drilling, machining, fit-up, assembly, final fabrication, and structural steel components.
  • Verify material identification, certification, storage, and traceability from receipt through fabrication, inspection, and dispatch.
  • Monitor surface preparation, blasting, coating, preservation, bolted connections, hold points, and product release requirements where applicable.
  • Identify, report, and verify close-out of fabrication non-conformances before product acceptance.

Inspection, Testing and Verification

  • Perform and coordinate hold point, witness point, surveillance, client, third-party, and final acceptance inspections in line with approved ITPs and project requirements.
  • Review inspection reports, test results, MTCs, calibration certificates, manufacturer documentation, and supporting quality records.
  • Confirm that inspections, testing, corrective actions, and verification activities are complete before product release or progression to the next stage.

Quality Documentation and Record Management

  • Prepare, review, control, and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, weld maps, MTCs, WQRs, WPSs, PQRs, NDT reports, dimensional reports, coating records, heat treatment records, and calibration certificates.

Archive Documentation Recovery and Data Book Close-out

  • Recover, review, reconcile, and verify archived and current quality records from electronic systems, hard-copy archives, manufacturing files, and legacy project documentation.
  • Identify missing manufacturing, welding, inspection, testing, material traceability, and quality records, and coordinate recovery with relevant project teams.
  • Maintain tracking registers for outstanding documentation, record recovery, non-conformances, and project close-out milestones.
  • Ensure final quality records are complete, accurate, traceable, audit-ready, accepted, and formally archived for project handover.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Management
