Concor Infrastructure invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Electrical Supervisor.
The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-compliant execution of all 33kV electrical reticulation works associated with utility-scale wind farm projects. The role includes the supervision of underground cable installation, overhead line construction, testing support, commissioning readiness activities, and the management of subcontractors and site personnel.
The successful incumbent will ensure that all electrical works are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable standards, safety requirements, environmental obligations, and project schedules.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Supervise daily 33kV underground and overhead electrical construction activities.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Monitor workmanship and compliance with project quality requirements.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, plant, and labour resources.
- Verify completed works prior to inspection and testing.
- Supervise and coordinate Underground Network Installation:
- 33kV XLPE cable installation
- Cable trench excavation and backfilling
- Duct bank installation
- Cable pulling operations
- Cable route marker installation
- Fibre optic cable installation
- Earthing and bonding systems
- Cable jointing and termination activities
- Road, rail, and water crossing installations
- Supervise and coordinate Overhead Network Installation:
- Pole foundation construction
- Pole erection activities
- Installation of conductors and earth wires
- Installation of insulators and hardware
- Pole-top equipment installation
- Overhead line stringing operations
- Line route inspections
- Network tie-ins and interfaces
- Overhead line stringing operations

Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12/ Matric
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
- A post graduate qualification in Project Management is advantageous
Additional Advantageous Technical Trades
- Trade Tested Electrician
- HV Authorisation Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Construction Safety Training
- Must have a Valid Driver's Licence
- Must be a South African Citizen
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical construction projects, including:
- Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) distribution systems
- Utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Wind farm electrical infrastructure
- Electrical subcontractor supervision
- Construction planning and scheduling
- Testing and commissioning support.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Sound knowledge of:
- 33kV distribution systems
- Underground cable installation standards
- Overhead line construction standards
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Protection and control systems
- Renewable energy electrical infrastructure.
- South African Grid Code requirements
- SANS, IEC and NRS standards.
- Eskom specifications and procedures
